What can acupuncture, herbal medicine and bodywork treat?

My experience is that the most common complaints people have come to me for have been musculoskeletal problems; bad back, knees, shoulders, feet and ankles, sports injuries and arthritis etc. This makes sense given my extra work and study in the area of anatomy and therapeutic bodywork. Knowledge of connective tissue structures and an array of soft tissue release techniques mean I can usually find something to help.

Many people try acupuncture, herbal medicine and physical therapy after they have explored conventional biomedical healthcare and found it has had little or nothing to offer them, or that the help that they have found has limits. In some cases there is not a lot more that can be done but in other cases the novel approaches of Chinese medicine and myofascial or bodywork therapy can offer another way of understanding and managing a problem.

For instance some common female problems have very limited treatment options, so if these do not work for you what next? And there are other conditions that are not well defined, or about which there are even debates about their existence where a different viewpoint may benefit.

Of course there are also other situations when bodywork therapy, acupuncture or herbal medicine may help in addition to a successful healthcare regime to further reduce certain symptoms perhaps or help promote wellbeing. Many techniques and approaches are at my disposal to work through with the client, to find the best way to manage the problem at hand. The way I integrate my bodywork and traditional acupuncture understanding has been effective time and again. To read some clients experiences of treatment click testamonials.
